I've been getting these cracks on the corner of my finger tips lately just at the end of where the nail grows. I've tried using different types of lotion to no avail. Any suggestions?

Get you some caulk and when it's dry cut away any excess & paint as needed.

Probably due to the cold weather,
Here are some home steps that you can do. Also getting a manicure would probably help. Along with Antibiotic cream if they are starting to bleed at all.

Pour warm water into a small bowl and add a few tablespoons of olive or vegetable oil. This will help keep the water from soaking the natural oils out of your already dry skin.

Mix the water and oil together with a small whisk or fork.

Soak your fingertips in the oil and water mixture for at least 20 minutes per hand.

Dry your hands lightly without washing off the oil and water solution.

Massage a tiny bit of cuticle cream into your cuticles -- the place where your fingernails emerge from your skin -- and along the sides of your nails. Use small, circular motions.

Apply a deep moisturizer or a thin layer of petroleum jelly to your hands, paying special attention to the areas around your fingernails.

Put on thin cotton gloves and wear them to sleep. Repeat this process three to five times a week until your fingers are back to normal.

I don't have any olive oil. Is it okay to use Italian dressing?
